The Art Center of Northern New Jersey is offering fall classes for beginner and advanced students in painting, drawing, pastel, sculpture, printmaking and clay sculpture. The National Art League is a non-profit organization of professional artists, serious students and those interested in participating in and supporting the advancement of the creative arts of drawing, painting and sculpture. The League was founded in 1930 by Alice Chase Sullivan and Helen Chase Storm, the daughters of William Merritt Chase, renowned Impressionist and Society Portraitist. Westchester Community College Center for the Arts in White Plains, NY is an art school for all ages. Community education classes for adults such as Floral Photography, Photoshop as a Tool for Painters, and Stonesetting are available for registration. Plein Air Portugal, a Retreat / Workshop for novice to professional painters and photographers in the northern mountains of Portugal is open for registration. The Warwick Atelier Artist Susan Hope Fogel guides students through the principles of painting and drawing in the representational style. The classes are held in Warwick, NY, and are appropriate for the novice to advanced students. The small class size allows for a lot of exchange between Susan and her students. The Woodstock School of Art offers daily classes in drawing, painting, composition, sculpture and printmaking and workshops in specialized techniques, all under the guidance of more than thirty professional instructors.
